Laptop Adapter Repaired
A customer came to me with his MSI wind u100 Laptops power adapter with the complaint of can’t charge the battery of laptop. When the output was checked there was no output voltage at all.
Since the power cable was checked to be good this means the circuit board got problem.
I opened the case and checked on the output cable and the cable was found to be good.
What surprises me was the dry joints found in many sections of the circuit board.
I had to resoldered all the dry joints and once done and powered up, 20 vdc was able to be measured by my meter. The power adapter now has no problem in charging the laptop battery.
