You can but you still may have to replace those then too in time! Ideal capacitors do not exist so why bother to replace them when they are not bad yet?

I have a few old DM800 SE receivers that I upgraded with new Japhar SIM cards. This way they are able to run on newer OpenPli firmware.
And the old hardware this way still can be used without too many problems at present days. I haven't needed a new version for a long time now! And I use OpenPli v8.1star.
The only problem may arise when a newer bigger OpenPli FW version needs more memory than the used Dreambox does provide. More info about present versions and Japhar Sim cards can be found here => http://www.ourdreambox.com/

I used to own a dreambox a long time ago. Many great years of FTA testing. These Power supplies have always been hit or miss with me. They are usually jacked too tightly for me to do any testing or repair. Glad to see you were able to get this one going.
