Mike: I replaced it with the exact fuse specs that was found inside the transformer I do not see why it is not a good idea. any way, the device is up and running up to this minute and seems like all is well. have a blessed day.

Henrique: thanks man. they are usually on the top of the windings but you still have to be carefull with taking it out, the wires are very sensitive and you might end up cutting the winding off. have a blessed day

Hector: at the output of the pins of the transformer. observe where the input comes in and on the other side of the transformer is the output. have a blessed day

Good Job Sir, but I have a question. This thermal fuse is intended to protect the transformer from overheat, and already do its job nicely. Do you make observation why the transformer become so HOT? When you don't observe and fix the real source of heat, I am sure it will happened angain in future.

Hi. Replacing the small fuse with a 2 amp fuse is not a good idea. Thermal fuses detect the temperature of a device and if that temperature exceeds the rating of the fuse it will open the circuit. A 2 amp fuse would not open until the 2 amp rating is exceeded and would allow the defective transformer to exceed it's maximum operating temperature. Possibly causing a fire. If that caused personal injury you could be held liable. On other hand if at least replacing with a 2 amp fuse to help out a disabled person and you feel confident the transformer is ok you did the right thing. Often fuses are hard to identify and also can be difficult to get replacements for. In these difficult times you did the right thing. ! May God bless our country's✌✌

Good job, Waleed. You were lucky that you got to the thermal fuse easily. I dealt some years ago with the same problem, but in my case, the thermal fuse was immersed in the transformer windings, in such a way that any attempt to reach it could destroy the transformer with certainty. The solution was to replace by another transformer, however without the thermal fuse. There was not at that moment any other way to restore the device (a sound mixer).

Albert: yes I Understand his concern and according to the customer, the device is still up and running no problems there. yes, I did not find a replacement for the transformer and that is not odd since I do not deal with such devices on a regular basis. have a blessed day
