About Peak Atlas Testers

 peak atlas meter

I have a question from my subscriber asked about the peak atlas testers, here is the question:

I want to buy some testers.I have but i want something better. Are this testers good?

Atlas DCA-Semiconductor Analyser,
Atlas LCR -Passive Component Analyser
Atlas ESR-Capacitor Analyser
Atlas SCR-Thyristor and Triac Analyser

I told him that i have only the atlas semiconductor analyzer and  i found it to be good especially to test the unknown semiconductor that they could not find the part number from the internet. The tester would tell you what types of component you are testing like whether it is a FET, SCR, Transistor and etc. Since i do not have the other three types of tester, i can’t give any review about them. If you have either one of them, i would be appreciate if you could help us to describe how good are those testers are. You may post your answer in the comment below-thanks!

    Hii,

I have bought the atlas esr meter and it works perfectly o.k . It is best for checking unknown value of capacitor uf and its esr.It show the value of capacitor and esr.I might say that every technicians may have the esr meter either atlas or from anatek both works perfectly ok.

    Hi ERG members,

I have the Atlas LCR meter. I bought it because the ad says it could measure capacitance from 0.4pF to 10,000uF with ±1%±0.3pF accuracy, but to my surprise after I got the LCR meter, the user guide has a note that such an accuracy can only be attained for measurement of capacitance between 200pF and 500nF only!

Hello MR. Yong and everyone else. I have all of the Peak Electronics products And I can tell you that they are good but sometimes (very few times) the component analyzer or any of the other products gives you a wrong description of the component that is in testing. Plus you cannot test darlington transistor with it. I kept researching and found a company (www.m3electronix.com) that claims to have a very good analyzer that I bought but still have not received. As soon as I test it, I'll post my opinion on it. Hope this blog will help someone. Thank you.

Hello again Mr. Young and everyone else. I got my tester from www.m3electronix.com; I like it better than the atlas one. It is very similar but much precise and faster but still use both. Both are good investments and is handy to have two in case one of them failed.

    HI Arnold,

You need to buy it from this website http://www.peakelec.co.uk because i do not sell those meters.
