Hi Jestine,

Thanks for the download link that you have just sent me. I just want to ask why there are no available computer motherboard repair guides that can help me solve small technical problems on the main board e.g processors not powering up and continuous beeping even when the RAM is ok.

Please advise.

There are many reasons of not getting the guide such as not many people like to write this kind of troubleshooting book (base on real experience) , even if they can write they do not know how to publish and it could be costly too to produce a physical book. Some don’t want to share out their repair secrets because fearing of competitions. The list can go on and on! Hi Atif,
This is a very wide topic and i can't explain all in one single post. I suggest that you get the "Upgrading and repairing PCs" book by Scott Mueller as he covers all of the questions you mentioned above.

we have server smps with us which will make the motherboard to restart automatically after a short interval of time after it is loaded with mother board .it is an smps problem because when we replace it with another one it work smoothly.sir could u help me

You may need to open up the smps and check the filter caps.

i have motherboard of Gigabyte but when i power on the my pc the fan on the motherboard rotate once or twice and stop but when i remove the +12 volt DC ATX processor power supply and run on only 20 pin atx power than fan rotating normally. how to resolve the problem please help me.

Hi Chintan,

Well, it can be the power supply or the motherboard problem. The best is you get another power supply to test it out. Assuming if the power supply is at fault then try checking the filter capacitor.

Sir,
I have an experienced working on faulty Motherboards. Some Times Motherboard intermittent behaved like Hanging, ON / OFF / disturb display appearances, power on but no display.

Reasons : These type of faults Occurred by boiled / leakage / smudge capacitors which install in Queue behind the back panel connectors first and surrounding the RAM memory Slots.
Also, during trouble shooting remove FRU CMOS battery, Reset Bios before start to touch the board.

Precautions: Anti-static Wrist band must be wear when you are working on PC Mother Board Troubleshooting ONLY and to be noted that do not wear / use wrist band under monitor repairing or power supply repairing ETC..

Solutions: Change all the Capacitors which you found Boiled / Leakage / doughtfull with same values.

i have a troblshot in my motherboard it is not the powear on and if the motherboard is start but after few mint the pc auto sutdown and not satrt whean the power beton press and not start

Hi All, I have found most motherboard faults are caused by faulkty capacitors. A very good site too visit is ....BADCAPS.com..., they have a very good forum with great techs. who are very willing to help with information.
