I cannot predict it, but prolong use without eye protector, I think it's possible to destroy the eyesight . Yes there are high end ones not using infrared but higher pricing. In China there are good high end BGA Stations by the Brand name of Shenzhen Zhuomao Technology Co., Ltd. Very popular among laptop repairers.
