AC/DC Adapter LED On, But Does Not Take Load
This AC/DC Adaptor Model 65W-TF03 was brought to me with the complaint that LED light is on, but does not take load. After opening the unit, and removing the heat zinc which covers most of the top area, I noticed that one of the capacitors in the secondary had ‘called it a day!’
Replaced it and checked for any other defective components both in the primary and secondary. Could not find any.
Touched up all the solder joints again to make it fresh. Cleaned the PCB well and applied power through a series bulb. Adapter worked perfectly well.
Another job accomplished and added to my SL (satisfaction list).
