Henrique: thanks man. indeed, there are lots of fine wires to deal with and it is not an easy repair to do. it was not any easy repair for me but it was challenging one. of course I only do this process only if I do not have a replacement or I try to open the transformer and mess it up instead of fixing it. lol. have a blessed day

Albert: caution was well taken before installing and isolating the fuse. i have been doing this for a long time but so far I have not experienced a house go into flames. I do this process only if I can not find a replacement for that transformer otherwise I would replace the faulty with a brand new one. have a blessed day

ADIRSON: I am not really sure but I think it was 3.15 amp. the idea is no matter what the ratings are you need to replace it with the same specs fuse. have a blessed day

Good job, Waleed. I´ve dealt with a multi-channel soundboard that revealed trouble with one of the two power transformers. The same issue: a thermal fuse inside the transformer. However, it was not possible (nor so easy as in your case) to get access to the thermal fuse at the risk of destroying the transformer. The solution was to replace the transformer.

Replacing thermal fuses is okay as long as we can be sure that using the this way 'repaired' old overheated transformer doesn't cause our house to go up in flames.
