How much mA is recommended for houses? I am using 100A and 100mA device now.
Some people told me it should be 100A and 30mA.

Do you have other power supply such as generator set or invertor to feed the flats once the city power supply interrupt? If yes check the conictiion sequence of the ATS .

Hi , that is the correct answer .
ELCB or RCCB is a protection device against earth leakage fault , while MCB is a protection device against overload and short circuit faults.

I want to know what's the cause for my friends home, the ELCB will be tripped whenever the washing machine or refrigerator or AC are put on, and it will not trip for lighting load, what will be the cause can anyone tell me..

Hi Rg,

There are few causes why it can trip such as shorted electrical/electronic products, burn/shorted power lines in the concealed area, defective MCB and etc. You may need to find an electrician to do the fault finding.

Hi, MCB at my apartment trips when there is power outage. It actually trips when power is restored.It's building of 26 apartments. What could be the issue here?Is there problem in power supply from main unit to my apartment causing this?

Hi Lee,

I have not encountered such situation before. I would do the same diagnosis like you if my house were having the same problem. The best is to get an electrician to check it. From your description, it would not be an easy task because it was having intermittent problem.
