Blue Tooth Speaker With Faulty Charging Port Repaired
A guy from the city of Bethlehem about 20 minutes drive from my shop brought a blue tooth speaker for repair. The customer explained the charging problem that is in this speaker and I could see right away the charging port was missing.
I called the customer about the estimate but the customer said that is too expensive instead, he offered me to take the speaker for free and I can do whatever I want with it.
My son wanted a speaker so I was fixing it for him.
I took the metal grid off and started my way to get to the charging port and add a new one there.
There was a rubbery belt covering these screws (took me a while to figure it out) but once I took these screws off I was closer to getting to the charging port.
Another four screws to come out to get to the charging port.
Almost there but still more screws to come out to get to the board.
Finally the board was out and as you can see, the charging port is completely gone but sad to say there are pad torn out and that means a lot of work involved to get it up and running.
It needed only positive and negative connections to the board and the charging port was added and tested.
It is showing green light here because the battery was not connected.
I put everything back together including the battery and as you can see, the charging is taking place and I was so happy with the outcome but guess who was extremely happy? Of course, my son, He loved it and took it to his room and tested it out and to that I could say …
Mission Accomplished.

Good job! The only downside here would be that you now have to listen all day to loud playing songs your son loves but you maybe hate (lol).

Albert: thanks man. I am a lucky father that my son does not like loud music so he is playing things like easy listening songs along with youtube stuff which not that loud so we are ok on that issue. have a blessed day

I wish they made the ports stronger

Anwar: it is not in their best interest to solder stronger port because they want to control you to buy new device instead of fixing. have a good blessed day.

Where was the original port? It doesn't look like it could have fallen out of the case. Nice repair thought! And blessing to you also!

William: the port was not inside the speaker but I think it got stuck on the cable when it was pulled out..not sure that but that could be the case. have a blessed day
