Standby section. Look for track cuts or short circuits. Check how much current the set is drawing. If the adaptor is unable to deliver the required current (due to bad capacitors mainly) this can happen. All the best and thanks for your comments!

Let me ask, if an led tv (lg) using an external adaptor as its power,and when plug to ac socket and tv just show red standby light stuck, without powering ON and u check mainboard voltages and find no voltages, except 19V from adaptor,WHAT would you suspect first sir?
