I know Yogesh. But why bother fixing an old Light bulb Torch.
But I am thinking to replace the Bad NiCad Batteries in a
couple of old Power Tools (1 Power Drill) by Lithium 18650 Types.
For the Charger I just use external existing Li-Ion Chargers.
And the Charged 18650 Batteries I put in a new Battery Holder
for my Power Tool. And since I do not charge the 18650 Cells
in my old NiCad Charger, it will be safe. I can use 2 Li-Ions
in series giving 7.2Volts (was 8 Nicads of total 9.6V) and
extra Li-Ions in Parallel for more Current. (Like is done in
Laptop 18650 Packs). And if the Voltage is not high enough
extra Li-Ions in Serie giving a total of 11.1V. Cheers!

If the build quality of the gadgets is good then replace the Battery instead of buying new Gadget because still you have chance to get again Crappy Battery; i had replaced the crappy battery in my rechargeable torch and replaced with same specification of Ni-MH Battery working good since last two years.

Thank you Mr.Suranga. You made another happy customer as long he doesn't break the board again.

I had a couple of these simular but much cheaper Torch Lights in the past with very bright Halogen Bulbs and thousands of Lumen. But both were not worth repairing because of the crappy rechargable 12V Batteries inside. Those didn't have any long lifespan nor usable capacity.
Torch Lights with LEDs like the one you succesfully repaired are a great improvement!
