Build Your Own ESR Meter
By Jestine Yong on April 7, 2008
Here is a website that can teach you on how to build your own ESR meter. The designer has listed out all of the components and comes with photos too. If you have the time you can follow the schematic given in the website to build one. If you do not wish to build one and ready to get a kitset (that comes with all of the components) to save your time then you can get the Blue ESR meter kitset.

HI Moses,
You may visit the link above to visit that esr meter schematic or you can go to http://www.anatekcorp.com/blueesr.htm for the schematic. Without the micro-p you can't build the blue esr meter.

Hello Jestine,
I love watching your tutorials and reading what you have up on the net. I just retired from a computer shop that I had for the past 15 years or so.
I'm 62 years old with a passion to take up where I left off as a young boy in electronics.
I have built some very impressive PSU testers with load test and also a separate dummy load tester;maybe you're interested.
I want to pursue LCD and TV repair. Anyone can see that now days testing capacitors is a major part of that industry.
I have no formal training in electronics, but I'm getting components together to build one of your ESR meters.
Thanks for what you've done to help others, Ken

HI Ken,
Nice to know you and your passion. Yes you can email me at jestineyong(at)electronicrepairguide.com if you would like to share your PSU tester that you have built.

I appreciate the schematic on the ESR meter. I worked on this thing for several days. It just will not work for me. The question that I would have is, the watt size of the components. Getting too deep in this project.
Do you offer a circuit board that is already assembled to install in a meter? I have a 50 uA
meter.
Thanks, Ken

HI Ken,
I only sell the kitset or the fully assembled kitset for the Blue ESR meter. About the parts i suggest that you visit his website and email the owner as he has more info on his own project.
