Thanks for the sharing and Happy New Year! In fact 4 years ago my house was hit by lightning and it blew off my branded 29" TV. Thinking that i could repair it, later found that many of the circuit tracks came off and the tuner was totally blown!

Don't know the cause, but the bus bars joining the two halves of the main panel(with meter) literally melted to the bottom of the box. I powered the house using an extension cord and a double male pigtail to my neighbors house for two days until electrician could replace panel. Operated all but oven/stove/clothes dryer.

Good luck getting everything fixed and working again.
