I have bought this tester for my workshop. In our experience, this is NOT a tester but mearly an intrument that supplies a high voltage to the circuit after the inverter transformer. This in turn lights up the CCFL, we have made a lot of tests on verious monitor CCFL's and as long as the CCFL lights up, even if you get a very weak ccfl, you will always get a good(CCFL working) signal and can be very misleading. I am dissapointed in this instrument as it does not do the work it is supposed to do. We have tested this with a "dead" ccfl and still shows "good" because of a very slight glow in the tube and this can cause endless and unnecessary testing and work on the inverter board when the fault is a "dead" ccfl. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this subject.
