PS2: Also the PC vga input port of the Salora still worked excellent showing the vga HD resolution video output signal of any connected PC.

PS: The high frequency tone the Salora in the past produced that my niece still was able to hear... it was completely gone now. So probably the high tone was produced by the now defect likely step-down regulator circuits on the video board with the unknown smd components that provided the 5V voltage for the audio amplifier and for the dvd player. It is a real shame that useful service manuals, datasheets or helpful circuits are completely unavailable for this Salora TV.

Update: After the Comopez 12V to 5V/2.5A adapter converter was received and connected to the 5V jumper selector the Salora TV was further tested. We noticed that the LCD with glass frontscreen produced an excellently clear picture. And after also the 5V_dvd connector was externally fed with 5V by our WanPtek power supply the dvd player also worked when dvd's were inserted. And electronically ejecting the disc also worked splendidly including the red laser worked. But it didn't recognize the inserted disc. Also the Salora internal speakers still didn't work. The dvd player probably already was defect long ago. In conclusion for only about 4 euro/dollar free shipping we had an excellent working monitor/TV but no working internal dvd player. Playing video MP4 or Avi files from USB stick still worked perfectly but the both in the article mentioned sop8 AAU0FA and AAW0BA chips most likely were needed for the audio amplifier and the dvd player. Maybe the SPDIF output port still works but apparently the HP (head phone) port didn't work with an attached soundbar.

I am still very grateful for my previous fantastic job I had as Laptop repair engineer at CoreTek in my hometown, Mathew. I never would have thought that it would lead to a successful repair to fix a completely dead TV with DVD player.

Thanks Yogesh! Even when we sometimes are out of all standard options without finding necessary service manual or schematic to fix a problem, we still can apply a logical solution to fix a dead device.

Thanks Parasuraman! My brother previously also had searched for the price of a replacement TV board. It was with a price of around 145 Euro for an old used second hand board just too much, and also a risk if that board would fail in the near future too.
