I understand that the fitting of the rubbers in the motor or the tubing was faulty and now fixed. I suppose that these kind of devices will need service soon again because of all the special air moving tubes and in time deteriorating rubbers. Your patience to once again fix this device to working condition is applaudable!

there was no dust inside, but the diaphragm rubber cups may have gotten stuck or may be not performing well, and may snapped into its' place when the motor was opened, as I'm not sure about the motor when I replaced it, as it wasn't original.

Very informative and educative article. But I deduced that the pump had some dust collected which prevented proper function, as the article did not specify the reason for malfunction. Am I right?
