Bad toothed belts however are much harder to replace also because they are less flexible compared to the standard rubber belts. The toothed belts for 3D printers are easier to replace because they have open ends and they can be made in the desired length afterwards. Toothed belts are available in rubber with fiberglass, PU and steelcore, or as treated tooth cloth belts. In 3D printers often belt tensioners are used to keep older belts as tied as possible to keep the best quality of any 3D printed object.
