HI Andres,

This is usually the problem with lcd panel. If the line is permanent the best is to replace the lcd panel or get a new Monitor. It is not easy to repair a permanent line unless it is intermittent problem.

Good Morning Jestine

I have an LCD Monitor HP w2338h. After a year and a month a vertical pink line came out accorss the screen and after two hours a blue one also. I unplugged everything to check if it was the video card just the power and the lines still on the screen. My question is if changing a component would be cheaper than buying another monitor ? Is this a capacitor, a transistor or a row of dead pixels ?

Thank you in advance. Andrés

HI Jessie,

Made sure there is supply voltage going to the inverter ic. Sometimes a bad backlight could cause the LCD TV to shutdown and become dim.

Hello,
I have a Westinghouse LTV-32W2 that powers on and but I can hardly see the picture. It is very dim. Do you what may cause this? I checked the backlight board but didnt see any visual defects. I tried reflowing the solder on some of the parts but still no go. Any ideas? Thank you in advance. Jessie
