Hi,

Well after 48 hours burn-in the Dell monitor I previously mentioned seems fine. So it looks like it is normal in this case that there large voltage variations between top and bottom ccfls.

HI Daniel,

That was interesting! Usually the voltages that i got from the top and bottom lamps were the same. Since there are so many models and design in the market, it would not be surprised if it has two different voltages. Try burn in longer the LCD Monitor to see if there is any changes in the light intensity or if there is any flicker.

Hi jestine,

I have a Dell E176FPf computer monitor.
It turns on for random times i.e. 5 mins, maybe next time 20 mins then turns off.

After reworking some of the regulators it seems to be working properly again. However I have noticed that there are some variances on the ccfl voltages.

There are 4 ccfls in total, two on the top, two on the bottom.
The bottom two ccfls at the connection read 450vac and 550vac but the two top ccfls read 270vac and 350vac.

My question is, is it normal to have such large variations in voltages between the top and bottom ccfls or does this sound like there is a fault? The screen actually looks like it is lit fine, it's just the voltages that are concerning me!

Thanks

Hi Gremloyd,

First, make sure your usb drive dose not have the switch at the side. If there is a switch you may have accidentally set to read write protection mode. If your drive do not have the switch then most probably your drive hit by virus. You need to transfer your file from the usb drive and then format it. You may search from the internet to look for a free program called "USB factory format tools". Please follow the procedure in the website.
