hello, if you had the exact same radio and it couldnt find channels the same as this and the diagnostic voltage was 0.0v from the input signal whats wrong.

Hello Chris,
I have bought a genuine used radio for my Fiat Bravo 2009.
When I connect all the jacks I am getting the error no can network.
Any idea about the solution?
Can I maybe connect it to the CAN network of the car somehow?

I have a model more recent this radio, I would like do auxin across fm turner option, but I havent schematics. Do you have a solution in this case, my model is without auxin back pinout, and the phone input is mono!

Slavko, sorry because I'm just now realized your message.
I Thik it could be somewhere in the wiring of the antenna a shorten to each other or to the car metal parts.
But, it could be a bad tuner chip too as I wrote in my article.
Without diagnostic it is really hard to say what could be the problem... 🙁

Hi Chris,I have same type car audio loosing FM(AM too)reception with messages: Antenna gnd short and short circuit-fail.Have you some advice?
Signal strength is from 0.4V to 0.7V when bad and 1.6V to 4.4V with good reception.Have you some advice?

what can I do about my Panasonic 5CD changer and stereo--I am not getting any reception on my FM band. I tried everything with the remote. could programming on the remote be the problem?

Sorry Mike because I'm late to answer to your question.
First of all thanks for supporting my article.
You alright, I was confused too with this option, because for me would this be
a logical description does the antenna should be tested for a short circuit but
after I checked a lot of documents and meet peoples from the same branches I
got two possibilities:
1. this message should show if the antenna is shorted out somewhere
2. if the antenna would be tested from the cpu and the antenna wiring have an open circuit then could be does the message shows up "short circuit-fail".
As I said, I was confused with this info. Some people said its a test for a short circuit other said its the test for open circuit. The docs said it should show if the antenna circuit is open or closed.
I decide to test this function. That was on another radio some time ago.
When I connected antenna which circuit was closed but not shorted I got a
message "short circuit-pass" when I disconnected then I got "short circuit-fail". So the circuit was open, what means no antenna connected.
I never saw any original docs for this type of radio where all this functions
was described.
Whatever this function does I can test if the antenna circuit is open or closed. This is a good starting point for trouble shutting.

In the fault menu, the message "short circuit- fail" you have described it as antenna open circuit, should that not be "antenna short circuit"?
