I agree with Waleed. I have repaired a laboratory analyzer which was fixed by cleaning a corroded screw termination. It turned out that ground connections were made to the chassis through the screws.

Joseph: yes I tested all voltages and everything was steady..but it was not coming on till I tighten the screws on both the power supply and the main board. it has to do with ground and of course when I test the power levels it should be ok because basically I am pushing on the board and it is pressed against the ground part but when I put the TV up on its stand, the ground is not there any more..that is my humble explanation to this simple TV repair issue. have a blessed day

Parasuraman: that tv was moved a lot causing the screws to get loose. It is a ground issue it is either by tightening the screws or solder a wire from the tuner ground and connect it to ground on power board. The same issue was in my son’s tv and so far it is up and running. Have a blessed day

What I don't understand is when you tested all voltages and it was ok, yet the tv still blinking. During the troubleshooting, did you not found any voltage supply clinking or reading negative before you identify the problem to be PCB screws not properly tightened?

Imoudu: yes, loosen screws means no ground to the boards and without ground, the TV will not work. I am glad you find my articles useful. have a blessed day

Albert: according to the customer, this TV was moved a lot..so I am guessing they were loosen in the process. have a blessed day

Yes, my doubt is also same like Albert Van Bemmelen, who ever caused loose screws! How can it cause blinking LED problem? How will get it solved when you just fix the screws tightly? Looks like the problem might recur!
