Save time by using the almost instant "diode mode".

Put red probe on ground point and probe test points with black probe. Compare voltage readings. MUCH quicker.

If you haveva circuit you work on regular, write the values and compare nect time to quickly identify faulty area.

did you said (use the resistance check. Any big differences in resistance reading indicates that the point you are comparing have problem)
in general case,the resistance could be high or low in comparison with the good amp component?
