    good job on the repair. usually these keys give the worst issues and sometimes even cleaning them does do not help so I end up replacing the two of them. have a blessed day

    Señor Yogesh Una buena reparación , pero con su permiso quiero agregar lo siguiente: muchas veces se enreda cabello en el eje entre la armadura del motor y la hélice frenando la acción del motor ,haciendo necesario desplazar la hélice para poder quitar el cabello allí enredado
    =================================

    Mr. Yogesh A good repair, but with your permission I want to add the following: many times hair gets entangled in the axis between the motor armature and the propeller, slowing down the action of the motor, making it necessary to move the propeller to be able to remove the hair entangled there

    It will be interesting to see if the hair dryer comes back for repair in a few months. WD40 gets gummy over time and it may cause the fan to slow down. An inexpensive alternative is transmission oil.

      Robert Lamparter,
      Thanks! for your Comment,
      I think using Transmission Oil will not frees mechanism which is already Jammed may be due to rust.oiling is done after you solve the cause of Jamming then clean the Job and applying Oil as a lubricant.
      WD40 is never gets Gummy.i am using it regularly in mechanical parts in different jobs; one of it's good quality "it is Loosens Rusted Parts & frees sticky mechanisms" & it works.Depends on applications and Yes some time it worsen the Job like if you using it in Potentiometer it just wipes off carbon coating from the slider as per its nature & repaired Unit will definitely come back in short period.

      SO please read Instructions for application given on WD40 Before applying.

    Odd that the motor and its fan stopped working without finding the real reason of this problem. Not even entangled hair inside the rotor. And I wonder if WD40 is capable in removing any left hairs in the hair dryer. But as long it helped to fix the dryer it can't do much damage I guess.

    Good job, Yogesh. Just a comment: WD40 is not a lubricant. Many people makes this mistake. It has just a cleaning action, displacing the water (that´s why it is called WD = water displacement). Together with the water, other impurities are removed, including any residual old lubricant. So, due to its non-lubricant action, after a short period of time, all becomes dry. With this, what really occurs is the contrary: What would be a oiling work, end with all dry.

      You are Right... Henrique,

      for Loosen rusty/Jammed parts i have applied WD40 for avoiding process of dismantlement of everything and in this process there is chance that armature is gets unbalanced/aligned.
      & there is no use if applying Oil after applying WD40 Because WD40 will not allow freshly applied oil to stay.

      I may used Lubricant oil if i dismantled the armature from the unit & first i cleaned it with wd40 then wiping with petrol & then final is oiling.

    WD40 is not really a lubricant and I have been known to use fully synthetic motor oil.
