In fact, in my Whatsup group, many technicians have reported having got TVs picked up from scrap dealers, with very minor defects or sometimes even the fuse blown cases. The present trend is defective-throw away-buy a new one! The purchasing power of people has gone up and the more they earn the more they spend, especially on luxury items. I'm honestly surprised that TV was still turning on with all six capacitors in that condition. Most people would probably have thrown it away without even checking inside. It's nice to see an older TV getting repaired instead of ending up as electronic waste. Makes me wonder how many supposedly broken TVs could be saved with a relatively simple repair. Great job bringing this one back to life!

It seems to be a better sort of tv design because it kept working even though most of its e-caps were goners. And the fact that you found and fixed all of them of course was no surprise!
