A kid next door came in to my shop and he was a little bit upset. He was carrying a hover board in his hands. There were two wires coming out of that hover board; one wire was black and the other one red.

He explained that his dad tried to charge the device and while doing that, he pulled on these two wires and now it is not charging. It seems like an easy fix but enough speculating and let get down to business.

There is supposed to be a nut holding the screw that the wires go through. (Actually, you can see it hanging on the wire inside).

The moment I took the screws off, I could see inside the hover board.

In this photo you can see the power button on the right side and the charging plug on the left. At it is seen, the red for the power button was loose and it has to be connected back on. Connecting this cable back on did not solve the issue but brought me one step closer.

I traced the two wires back to the socket and there was no power there. But once I pulled on the two wires, the black one came off. I connected the black wire back on and started the machine, it did not start but it started to beep indicating a not charged battery.

I plugged the charger in the power outlet and it LED light was green, the moment I plugged the charging power to the socket of the hover board, the light changed to red which indicated it was successfully charging the battery.

I charged the hover board for about half an hour and then disconnected the cable. I pressed the power button on and I got the battery indicator that the device is on.

The kid was happy to see his toy come alive. He actually rode it back to his house.

Mission accomplished.

You sure make customers very happy Waleed! In this odd age of technology were 'back to the future technology' is really happening and people already mainly communicate by phone and the internet, a good engineer that not only is able to fix Iphones and all other sorts of equipment is the right man in the right place at the right time!
