Albert: i always collect used good parts either by going to the junk yard or buying old stuff from customers.
about the LG parts, this is a china made microwave oven but I think that some technician replaced that magnetron head earlier with an LG one. so I do not think it was in the original build of the microwave oven.

David: I appreciate your comment and concern about safety but since I did not mess with the HT area I did not do any testing. it was a simple process of taking off a fan and putting a new one in.
