I always crack it open with a flat screw driver after I slice it with a sharp knife. I will try to use petrol next time and see the out come. Thanks for sharing

I always just use a hammer and a good screwdriver to open those plastic sides. Carefully without sticking it in too deep. Never needed to use petrol before. And sometimes only a bit of hotair to help to unlock the old glue. Also some hotair helps to straighten and remould the plastic after the case is reglued and closed again.
