HP Laptop With DISK 0 Error Fixed
Symptom: Received the laptop with Disk “0” Error not booting.
First I have checked HDD Detection under BIOS Setting I found HDD is detected under Bios setting.
For further diagnosis I have removed the HDD and connected on my setup computer for testing it gives same problem hence it is confirmed the problem is with the HDD.
After removing HDD I removed the PCB from the HDD.
On visual inspection did not found any broken / burnt mark but I have found Oxidization on Read / Write head connector contacts.
Cleaned Oxidized Contacts with help of Eraser.
Now it is time to check the result. I have reassembled the HDD and put it back in the laptop and pressed power button. Now error has gone and laptop started normally.
