Sir, i am having one Philips portable radio RL118 faulty.AM stations can't turned, but FM stations ok. Radio in Am mode very noisy. Am FM IC is D2003 GB. 16 pin Smd.Audio IC is D2722A. Your kind advice is requested to solve the problem.thanks in advance.

Sir,
some time this type of "Cutting" practice may worst the job if you are working on "Multi layer" PCB.Chances are more to damage the Traces underneath IC.(If the pressure for cutting is more).....you can use some Jigs made of simple Copper Wire if you are not comfortable with Hot air workstation.

you may try with some chip quick low temp melt desoldering alloy... its under 20$ and will get the job done 110% far more safely and easier... have a look!

Thanks for mentioning the CD2003GP IC in this repair. I knew about the EXAR XR2003 often used in washing machines and dryers, just like the 2004 but this AM/FM IC is less known with interesting features and is still available. https://www.datasheet4u.com/datasheet-parts/CD2003GP-datasheet.php?id=653642
