Hi Vic,

I guess during shipping the meter already have problem. Mine still functioning well. Sometimes we can't expect good quality product from China since the price is cheap in the market.

The thermometer did not fuction completely dead after installing the batteries. I tried several new batteries and the same result. I dont know if it is because of poor internal quality or if it damaged during shipping. I will keep you advised.

Hi Daniel,

If the IC is getting hot then the meter could detect it. Replace the ic if the temperature is rising. Do not replace the ic if the tempareture is stagnant. I have no heard about the wordtracker sofware perhaps I need to google it.

You are right this is a good piece of equipment. It could be used to troubleshoot on intermittent problems cause by components.
