This IC is not available on my part of the country. Moreover, I am not very comfortable in handling such minute components, because of my age and lack of practical experience. As I am in the habit of returning the defective components to the customer, I do not have a few to do practice. Perhaps, I will find time to practice on it soon! Hello sir (parasuraman), it's a very excellent work. Thanks. I know you have a lot of experience. Go on. But why you did not change MCU - MT1389de/qe/vde ? This MCU avail in local market & its rebuild process is very easy through hot air gun. As you said that the main board ( DVD ) runs normally after change those leaky diodes - except video out. That's mean loder, ccm, audio, eeprom was good condition. Only MCU's video section is faulty. So i think MCU change is right decision & you save your lot of valuable time. Of course it's my personal opinion. Otherwise good job . thanks again. Happy new year.
