Arranging exact replacement parts is a challenge nowadays, and you need to have the ability to think out of the box.specially for this type of component where part of the body is internally connected to one of the live pins & body also becomes live.if by mistake it gets touch to chassis while installing it will make job more difficult to repair.

I had mentioned that I cut the legs and used the points to solder the 1117. I did not want to remove the IC causing strain to the T-Con Board. I would have removed it, if a replacement was available. Moreover, the 1117 has different pin configs, and should be fit in a place to dissipate heat generation. That's why I used this method! Many thanks for your comments and querry, dear Imoudu!

I notice the R45W ic was not soldered off t-con,while the 3 wires from 1117 was soldered to joint R45W on board, why this method,I thought the original ic is defective,which necessitate to use 1117.
