Angelo: with lots of internet search and experience. it is not an easy thing to do. it involves lots of time and effort and sometimes, it does not work because the original home key button can not be found.

Charlie: that is a big problem with many people who has no idea what is going on in the smart phone repair. every time I change any screen I always swap the original parts to the new screen other wise the customer will run into big issues like this one. also, all your data will be lost as well. I do not trust apple, they are still making money off you even when they gave you that refurbished phone for a reasonable price.

true..but I never had any problem with my iphone 6plus because I keep backing up my data into itunes monthly, keep my passwords in safe area written on paper so I will not forget them. just in case you forgot all your passwords, you just log in into itunes program, restore backups and you are good to go again.

Ran into the same issue when my wife dropped her iPhone 7 in the washing machine.
An unknowledgeable technician replaced the home button. Worked fine until an update came out and got the Error 53.
Went back to the local tech who claimed no knowledge about the issue and had also thrown away the original home button. Problem is extensively written about and all over the internet.
Phone happened to still be under warranty by Apple. I sent the phone to them and they swapped the phone for $171.00. I thought a reasonable price for an unlocked factory refurbished iPhone 7.
