Hi Robert. It was quite a repair job but worked out very well in the End. Question: Because I'm living in Europe I have to ask you, if and what made Kodak quit Selling. Or is it still a Selling Manufacturer in the USA? I may have heard it no longer exists. But I'm not really sure if I did pick it up in the news or that it was Polaroid that was news with some kind of new direct developing camera? I have never been outside of Europe (UK, France, Germany, Belgium) but I have a nice Photo on my living room wall from New York with Kodak advertising on the left of the skyscraper buildings.
It is a shame that I own their products but can't get new PhotoPacks anymore.

Thank you Bruno, glad it worked out this well too! It would be a real shame to throw away a quite expensive and this fast working PhotoPrinter. (I paid about 99 Euro for it at the time if I remember it correctly).

Because doing that would influence the calibration of the printhead. So the repairfix only means that the repair engineer has to exchange the complete bad thermal Photohead with the Good version of another Kodak Photoprinter. (the version mentioned in the article is identical exchangeable). The best way to do that is, as also can been seen in the photos, by removing the small screws that connect the Gear Wheel drive Block on the left to the Photoprinter. After the Gear Wheel drive Block with the left Copper/Brass Pin is loosened. It can be moved to the left and the printerhead is completely free to also move out of the right Copper/Brass Pin without having to disassemble the Thermal Head in any way.
Before one tries this disassembling on the good Photo Printhead, it is probably best to try this out first on the already Bad Printhead Kodak Photoprinter as was mentioned in the article. Although it should be obvious seeing the article and all Photos, I added this text to be very clear how it must be done the right repair way. Although it probably also is the only good way to do this repair succesfully! Good Luck!
