Hi Jestine,

Weve done this trick before with my partner in computer repair.
We got this problem with two in one PC and LCD in one Hitachi
brand from Japan. Since he's not that creative with this kind
of problem coz he's expertise are more on software, we decided
to replace the dead power supply with a regular/ordinary pc
power supply. It works. Other than that, I also tried using
the DVD power supply board in a sub woofer because the 12 VDC
power supply is missing . I replace and redirect it inside.
Yes it works again. Jestine keep up the good work.

Get at least a 80 watt power supply for the Monitor.

Sir, Can we use a High/Low (assuming voltages is same as original) Wattage PSU instead of Original?

I am too done this trick before with my previous ibm lcd monitor, less expensive and you can find anywhere a junk psu, but sometimes it breakdown even with a higher watts psu. I have tried those old psu with only 150watts and it works.
BTW thanks Jestine Yong, I have learned a lot with your page, very helpful specially for newbie tech like me.
