Most of those handy Fluke portable oscilloscope meters are defect after they have been used for about 10 years, and fixing those is almost impossible (because of Firmware issues and other issues) and if you send the device in to their service center it will be way too expensive anyhow!

By the way: if you own one of those handy atmega328 transistor testers you better never measure any charged capacitor with those meters. It will blow your AVR ATmega processor to kingdom come in an instant. After you will have to replace the ATmega chip with a new firmware flashed one! I speak out of experience. (It already happened to me twice!)

Understood Imoudu. I hope you will be able to replacing the blown IC in your DMM. And that you still are able to read the IC markings on top of that component after it blew up. If you read my DY294 repair from around 2016 you'll find that it was possible to replace the 44 pins smd chip in that DMM too. Best of luck!

Albert, Agree problem is with dry solder only used magnifying glass to find out that is there PCB traces having some hair line crack or not.

Sir, using this meters since last 15 Years without any problem depends what your need and how you are using it.some time expensive equipment also fail.

Mr Albert,I have experience a blown dmm 2ce.Dt9205A blow while using it .Though I made mistake of putting it in capacitance mode while measuring voltage and an ic got burnt inside.Hoping to repair it soon by replacing the ic.

A warning is never wrong Peter but that never happened with any cheap DMM of mine before! And as you know all of them must have safety fuses inside I wonder what you were measuring that your meter got blown up? If you mean the thin measuring cables you may be right but Fluke is a way to expensive meter that still does the same as any cheap(er) meter does.
