WOW X40! That must be the type with stereo viewer? I used one a work it was a trinocular, the third optic was for a camera so defects found on PCBs could be saved to the computer and sent to the manufacturer of the PCB for quality control.

I have both the magnifying glass but I use the most is the x 4 and the x40 one.

As time goes by I find that I have to use amagnifying lamp more often. I use the one with the 22W circular flourescent lamp to light up the area being viewed: http://www.harborfreight.com/fluorescent-magnifying-lamp-66384.html
Also, I use the type that is fitted to your head:http://www.harborfreight.com/magnifier-head-strap-with-lights-38896.html.

Absolutely Jestine,I'm now in my late 30's but my eyesight starting to loose clear vision to see very small component especially smd devices.That's why me also use magnifying glass now,no choice need this thing to help me see and identify the label of the tiny electronics component on the and trace circuit on the board..
