I have a 10 year old Philips radio RL 118 triple power Trishul model. I am in Ahmedabad city. Problem is, most of the fm stations ge tuned at two or three positions on the tuning dial. What could be causing this and what can I do about it. This is not happening on my other newer radio models.

The same radio connect ac mains and switch on humming only, after 1 minit humming clear and audio ok, working in battery clear.

Yes, it is true. But in this case, the battery was not in a condition to jump start using an electrolytic cap. I always prefer to replace, though!
