Hi
I have A Dell TFT Monitor Model 2001FP All is working Fine With the monitor menu buttons/brightness and etc the Issue with my Monitor is It does not powers off
i tried changing the power buttons i dissconnected the switch but this does got gives me a good result
Can you solve my issue this kind of problem is new to me

He replied many times when people say how good he is but dozen times it was asked what made him test the capacitors, what was their condition, how were they tested, but not one reply on this. I think that someone else did the repair and he is just grandstanding. Psychologists say this is usual behavior when a person has low self esteem or low confidence.

Good job wel done but iam not clear about how you came to know that the
tantanum caps were the problem? Otherwise i and the world as well appreciates

Good fault finding . Liked the idea of disconnecting additional kit . to find if a difference . Then check of docking station charger . then tracing back to the capacitors . I wasn't aware those were capacitors . looked like larger SMD resistors though with white print . info being ( 100 - 16 ) being 100uF at 16volts . didn't know that not seen this type of component before . Anyway . good servicing . Those remotes can now be put use and not wasted .

That's true Beh - SMD tantalum caps are extremely reliable. I would imagine that someone connected the charger backwards or something to blow the tantalum caps.

... also why you did not suspect to other big ic s and crystal that you showed in the photo .. but directly you changed these two poor TANTALIUM CAPS ...?TANTALIUM caps rarely get defected ?
