No. An inverter Fridge uses an auto-speed controlled compressor. It is energy efficient. Kindly type 'What is an inverter Fridge?' in google search, you will get complete description.

Yes, fully agreed! The letters CVR are written on MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors) and that is what I referred to. CVR means MOV?
Normally MOV (METAL OXIDE VARISTOR) is installed across AC supply after fuse to protect the circuit from abnormal transient voltage.
Good job done to pleased the BOSS!! Thankyou for sharing as I have also not done any repair on fridge.

I suppose that, although you said that your wife was the customer in this case, it was in your mutual benefit to fix the fridge. Especially since we at an older age, where we are not as resilient anymore as when we were 20, we need to avoid bad contaminated food at any cost.
I suppose that with CVR you meant the blue overvoltage protector? Because Google did not specify it as a general known electronic part.
