Met A New Repair Friend

By on October 2, 2010

This morning i met a new repair friend from other state. He is my ERG member and came to KL to do some business. He came to my office and we had a chat for about an hour. He was a humble and simple guy and have many employees and his core business is in repairing motherboard, LCD Monitor, notebook, harddisk data recovery, scrap computers and selling electronic components. He came to my office back in May to buy Blue ESR meter but at that time i was not in. Today he came to buy the Blue Ring Tester and also my latest ebook “Electronics Repair Articles” and I was glad to have met him. Before he left, he gave me a gift which was a box of electronic components that consist of many types of components in it. He told me next time if he come again he will give me another box. All these are new components and have not been soldered before. I appreciate his big heart and generosity. Below are the photos of the components:

    Hi Beh,

No problem. I believe he is reading this post too. This was my first time that a visitor came and present with gift of electronic components. Those are new components and it was very costly too.

That is an awesome gift. I am excited just looking at that box full of new components, this is like "a kid in a candy store" for us. Most of the components still have the tape from the reel on them(which is nice because it helps prevent the leads from getting really bent out of shape) and such a variety.

    Hi Beh,

You are right. The life span is 10 years and have to use it within the 10 years. I will use those caps since there are electronic equipment to repair.

    Hi Jestine,

You are very lucky because you have such kind of friend and I am lucky also that I have found you and your site. It helps me a lot in repairing and troubleshooting computer and electronic problems. I am just a hobbyist, but this became an added income for me because I keep on reading and learning from others as well via net and to you most of the time.

Keep up the good work. I hope to see you in Malaysia if given a chance to travel in your country.

    God bless
    William
