hi!!! i have the same problem.. the philips crt tv i troubleshoot has no sound in tv but good sound in AV1.. i noticed that everytime i reprogram memory eeprom ic and return back to the board it automatically restore the data back to its usual data. can you please help me...

Thanks u very much for your very informative article. I have a 21 inch sansui crt tv with the picture pulling problem, I have checked the supply to the vertical, horizontal, all are present as it was specified, all the capacitors in both the horizontal and vertical section seems ok but the problem still exists.So i would like to ask u what would be the problem. Thanks in advance

Yep, Plus If you upgrade the CS, you will have to find the connectors and components that come with the A to be able to take advantage of the ICSP.

Indeed you are right Robert. Although there are people who buy the cheaper TL886CS and rebuilt it to the ICSP enhanced TL886A unit, so it can program and read IC's larger than the standard 40 Pins IC's by programming them Serial-In- Circuit. But than you don't have any warranty on the modified unit. And buying the better A version with the ICS Programming cable expension also prevents the user from not working IC or Firmware updates in future releases.

I think this Tv fault may be caused by bad
ABL Line or R.G.B circuit. Check first all resistors and diodes in ABL Line.
