Try cleaning with Transformer oil (used in large power transformers installed in industries or on road sides by Electricity Department). Even used oil will do. If pots are stored for a long time, it tends to collect fine dust. I buy majority of components in India from https://projectpoint.in/ You should also remember to replace a logarithmic POT with similar one and a Linear one with its equivalent. That is important.

Recently I bought 10 nos.50K & 100K Pots, out of 10 only two are usable, I used it in amplifier all bad pots not give effect of gradually up or down.it works either on Very high or On very Low.

This amplifier is kept for public use in an auditorium and generally, the team who hired it operates the amplifier, as a result of which, the controls become easily defective due to mishandling. I replaced all the controls, though a couple of them were ok after cleaning, in order to prevent failure in the near future. I do not like to receive a set for repair again and again. VERY STRANGE!
All the pots were defective and irreparable???
Usually the pot which is used the most fails first.
But even the seldomly used knobs were inoperable?

What could be a reason for this Parasuraman?
