Ok Guys Here Is The Answer……..

resistor color band

First I would like to thanks those who have commented. Right or wrong is not an issue here as long as we try and together we learn from it. The answer is 2.2 OHM with 5% tolerance. Actually I’m still searching why the manufacturer needs to add in the black color in the first band and green color in the last band. They could have just print it as RED, RED, GOLD, GOLD.  I still could recall there was a resistor that have 5 color bands and the last color was white and one of the commenters  said that the last color band had something to do with the military thing. The question was the resistor was taken out from normal circuit board and nothing to do with the military equipment and etc. In order to calculate the 5 color band resistor value that have the white color as the last band just ignore the last white color band and you will get the answer.

Alright since we are still in this resistor topic why not try to answer another one. See the photo below and guess the answer.

Now how can you say it is a 5 color band Resistor ?! If you say 5 color band resistor, then Green color stands for what !!!!

      Hi Zul,

The color of the photo seems to be fade thus It is hard to see those colors except the black, gold, silver and green. The bottom one should be 0.1 ohm (assuming the first color is brown) but no clues on the top resistor. If you could provide a clear color photo then it will be easy to calculate.

    HI JESTINE

i think some of the chines producers they are going in thier own way and they do not obey the international standards also you may see this irregularities in other parts like ics or other semicoductores
may be they think as a only huge producer of electronics parts in the world they have such right to do this and or may be they do not meet the the standard tabulation of resistores some time

From the first anwser you gave to be 2.2ohm 5% tolerance, using thesame or assumed calculation i can rightly say is a 0.1ohm 5% tolerance.

      Hi Sam,

It should be 0.05ohm with 2 % tolerance. You need to double confirm it by checking the resistor with Blue ESR meter because this meter could test low ohm resistors.
