Try check the capacitors to see if one of the capacitance already out.

Inside the fan circuit board. There are few and you need to test all of them.

Hi Eric,

Try replace the remote control batteries first and retest and make sure the battery compartment contact are clean. If all okay then you may need to check the capacitors in the circuit board.

Possible if the cap have very low capacitance. Just check all the capacitors will be the best procedure.
