Panel Replaced In SONY BRAVIA LCD TV MODEL KLV-32BX300 After All Cutting Tricks Failed
This LCD TV was brought to me with the complaint of horizontal lines which keeps increasing blocking view of picture. After opening and cleaning inside, first I replaced all the electrolytic capacitors on the two boards, as some of the lines were noises due to bad filter capacitors.
Then the picture reached this level:
This anyhow was a panel complaint and as per guidance given by my techie friends, I tried short cut methods of cutting the data lines to the panel on the scaler board. But things were only getting worse.
When I informed this to the customer, he wished to abandon the set and suggested to recover the cost of service from selling the boards, as these were in good working condition. Thus this TV was lying in one corner, until I picked this up to take it to my Techie Friend, along with a few other TVS as mentioned in my previous articles. He too tried to do manipulations and suggested that we can go for a replacement of one new panel, which is lying in his stock from old collections. That was the last one. Well, I agreed to bear the cost and told him to go ahead. He replaced the panel and informed me that the TV was ready.
I went and picked up the TV, which I am currently using in my home. I am planning to dispose of the Philips 29”CRT TV, which is quite old, but in good working condition, in order to save space.
Satisfaction of reviving a set got doubled by owning the set!

After cutting the screen's datalines didn't work, this repair shows another interpretation of "Cutting a deal" Lol! Maybe you can also make someone happy with your old still good Philips 29”CRT TV? Or it must be that the electric bill of those old TVs now is a reason they are no longer wanted?

lucky your technician friend has a TV panel ready to do because they are very hard to find and cost too much. I had several TV's with broken panels sitting in the shop for a long time and recently I decided to take apart and salvage the boards for better use in the furter. thanks for sharing and have a blessed day
