hi, this is a lovely write up. i appreciate your effort. i have hts6600 with standby light on but not powering up. pls i would need your assistance on what to check because no physical damage on boards and can i use a soldering iron to remove the sound IC on the amp board. pls try and reply comments pls. pls i need your assistance.

Hello EveryBody, I'm french and i need your help concerning pOWER sUPPLY bOARD

I need to replace DIP 7 MIP2....(i don'have the exact number of MIP) but i don't know precisely the type of modele : the beginning is MIP2...but the end of this number is a mistake.

So could you help me and give me the correct number to replace it. Thanks a lot

I have a old Philips DVD Home Theater Model HTS6600/37. It has a similar amp A796-PCB-003. Im have low sound output. volume at max is about talking level. I don't see any obvious bad capacitors, from anyones experience would the TAS5142 IC cause low volume issue? and positive I will not be able to make those solder connections with my solder gun.

yes awe some idea to isolate amp board to locate fault,as im also a technician,owning a repair shop in savu savu vanua levu fiji islands.i would like to share my repair and exchange ideas at component level repairs .anyone may use my email add to post or share.congrats wishing u all the best in future .
