I would like to share my experience in Furman Power Conditioner repair. I have repaired many electronics devices.  But in this case the problem was a bit different.  The complaint was it has no power at all.  I took out the board and checked on the big capacitor but the capacitor was found to be good. I’ll tried to checked the parts one by one from the primary to secondary and the voltages was until only at the Relay area.

I further checked the diodes, transistors, transformer and relays and all found to be good.

I did not give up and continued to check for bad component and eventually I found one Mylar Capacitor in the primary AC input the value is 274nf / 400v (.27uf 400 v) was open circuit.

I ordered the part from ebay.com and after replacement the Power conditioner was working perfectly. Thanks to Mr. Jestine Yong for providing a platform (blog) to post (share) articles.

Thanks for sharing Fernando!, only a question, the problem capacitor open is in series o paralell configuration win the AC input?some years ago I find a problem with a Industrial UPS that not turn on, the problem was a Power relay, the coil OK, but not turn on, contacts OK 220 VAC input OK, then change the relay an turn on ! really no can see the problem and still I am intrigued, well, works, an the goal was reached, but my curiosity turn the red light, some day, I willlearn more about this power circuits!
    Best regards to Abu Dhabi

Was it in series or in paralell with the 220V AC input?

i would like to know what kind of test instrument did you used to figure out it's an open circuit. unlike the electrolyte capacitor when it's in good condition the pin of a analog multimeter reflects forward and back to its resting position. i will be curious also to know how one can determine a good mylar capacitor with a analog/digital multimeter.
    thanks.

You can order ESR meter to Mr.Young!
      for testing the capacitor.

I have the same problem, in the same unit! I can’t find the capacitor for replacement as the original has that number on it (that seems to doesn’t have any sense on the web...): WFA274K 450v
Can you help me on that please ?
    Thanks in advance

Thank you for this. Is there a schematic available somewhere in order to trace the circuit?

I just stumbled across this page. I have the same power conditioner and it also doesn't turn on. I was going to remove the PCB in order to desolder individual components but the connectors seem to be glued to the tabs. What did you use to disconnect them?

    Thanks! Matthias
