Good soldering skills were required and the best option was to replace the charging port. The interesting part you wrote was about the low temperature melting solder you used. Can you mention what type of solder you used? Because I want to solder more easily those multi pin smd controllers that are impossible to do with common solder. I therefor recently bought 20 grams solder paste injection tubes. With 183 degrees Celsius solder in those WNB World Experìence Packs. I hope they qualify for the job.

Good Job well done. charging ports are sometimes damaged by improper plugging in of the charger. Other times due to normal inserting of the charger, the solder that holds the port becomes loose. We have done this type of repair on antenna connectors, on vcrs, and tvs.
